Daisy off to a flying start!

Liberal Democrats in Suffolk Coastal got off to a flying start today, as Gordon Brown confirmed May 6th as the date for the General Election.

Commenting, Daisy Cooper, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary candidate for Suffolk Coastal, said: “The Liberal Democrats have set out our ‘Four Steps to a Fairer Britain’. They include fairer taxes for all, a fair chance for every child, and a fairer deal from our politicians. Whilst the other parties have slogans, the Lib Dems have a roadmap.”

“Our campaign is going from strength to strength, and new supporters are joining us every week. The people of Suffolk Coastal want real change, and many now believe that it can only be delivered by the Lib Dems.

“As today’s Guardian ICM poll shows (Tory 37% Lab 33% Lib Dem 21%), the Lib Dems are surging ahead. This really is a wide-open three party contest. With Lib Dems gaining support everywhere, voters have the opportunity to vote for real change on May 6th.”
