Time For a Real Change

On Saturday night, Daisy Cooper, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary candidate for Suffolk Coastal, called on her party to “spread the word” about the Liberal Democrat’s ‘Four Steps to a Fairer Britain’, stating it was “time for a real change.”

Speaking to a packed hall of Lib Dem members and supporters from the Woodbridge area, Daisy said: “Go out and tell people – “don’t be deceived by the same old Tories”. The Conservative party have been condemned by Greenpeace and Friends of the Earth as the dirtiest political party in the whole of the EU; the Tories promise extra funding for the NHS without saying where the money will come from; and they are using scare tactics over the scale of the public deficit, to justify policies that would plunge us back into recession.”

She continued: “The Liberal Democrats are the only party being honest about how it will reduce the deficit and about who we will protect through that process. We are committed to delivering fairer taxes for all, a fair start for children, fair and transparent local politics, and a fair and sustainable economy.”

“I’ve been listening to people on the doorstep – they’re fed up with Labour, they don’t trust the Tories, and they want real change. If you elect me as your MP, you will be able to trust me to fight for you, the people of Suffolk Coastal, and for the services, environment and local economy on which we all depend.”
